09 Mar Round Bottom Plane – What a useful tool.
It seems wrong to call it a round bottom plane as it’s only a slight curve but that’s what it is. Some spare blades from a Travisher project that went off course have resulted in this mini plane being made over the last few days. Making the mouth is always the most difficult part but it came together nicely.
Black Walnut sides, Beech body and a wedge made from Cherry, I think?
A fine mouth for fine work. I’m looking forward to testing it out properly and if put to work correctly this should save me hours of work.
